About Us

Striving to provide honest quality service since 1977

Our company has been built on integrity for over 45 years. Auto repair businesses have been notorious for oftentimes not being trustworthy or honest. This holds even more true today as the industry continually evolves making the automobile more complex and therefore harder for an untrained person to understand. At Murgic's we take pride in being an outlier and treat everyone's vehicle as if they were family, after all, we are a 3rd generation family business. We NEVER sell a repair that isn't necessary and at times will even advise to avoid or delay repairs that may be unnecessary to the safe operation of your vehicle. We're not perfect. As with every human being on this planet, we're not impervious to mistakes, but in that rare case, we make sure to make it right.

Our Story

Company History:

Back in 1977, Mike and his young son Steve Murgic bought a small service station located on HWY 3 South of downtown Rosemount, MN. Mike was a USAF veteran who started working for Ozark Airlines after his deployment. After working his way up in the company for years he was promoted to manager of the St. Paul terminal. He and his son Steve raced stock cars at the local tracks around the area and had a background repairing cars years prior. Steve would work at the service station by himself during the day and Mike would work after hours. After 8 years at the service station, the city moved the road and a new (the current) shop was built in 1985. Slowly but surely word spread and Murgic's Automotive started to make a name for itself in the local community. In the early 2000s, HWY 3 was moved East due to the adjacent propane plant and rail line which is why Murgic's is now located on the dead-end road named Canada Circle.  Fast forward 45 years and Murgic's has grown to an eight-employee shop with over 150 years of combined automotive experience all while maintaining cutting-edge tools and equipment.
